This is a lore guide on major, or even less major events in Utur-Vyta's timeline, before your 1st character arrived.
(May eventually do a version of this as Ethoro's or another character's journal of sorts, just for fun! Or I may start writing a bit of a "misadventures" series for Etahoro's Realm.)
--------------------------------------------------
Year 1
For the first year, Etahoro rather frantically, and with his wife Jeliah as his only companion, prepares the place for newcomers. He surveys the lands, marks borders, and even makes a map of the regions. He and Jeliah set up a small camp for themselves, with room for at least a dozen other Ket, but none came this year. They call the land, Utur-Vyta.
Jeliah surveyed the lands during this first year, looking for what herbs and medicinal plants grew, and found pretty much the same ones as on Lossuri.
Year 2
Etahoro and Jeliah's son, Haakon joins his parents. The young male is eager to please his parents, and is excited by the new lands to discover that are in his grasp, tired of his place among the Spotted Cat clan of Terra Ferra. Haakon, despite warnings from his father, explores the highland region near the lake. He falls down a cliff looking over the lake, landing on the shore. His parents find him, remarkably alive, and pretty much unharmed. They ask him how he fell, and Haakon tells his parents he heard a voice call to him. Confused, he search for the one who had called to him, and didn't notice the cliff till it was too late. Over further looking into the matter, Jeliah and Haakon are convinced the voice was one of the gods(perhaps in fact warning Haakon of the cliff... he doesn't listen well XD). They try to convince Etahoro too, but he claims to know better, and that the gods no longer look upon mortals. Still, due to their persistence, he allows the place to become a shrine, but under the condition that he would build it. Sorrow's End is built.
Etahoro, Haakon, and Jeliah spend the year building a settlement for the Ket they were waiting to greet still. They build a few guard towers around the settlement.
No one from Terra Fera, Haakon excluded, came yet this year.
Year 3
Still preparing for newcomers, Etahoro and Haakon observe and track the herds for most of the year. Jeliah discovers a grove where a Blood Hessa tree is growing, a tree valued for its flowers which are said to have miraculous healing qualities. She decides the place will make a good training ground for any sages who eventually find their way to Utur-Vyta.
Kelda comes, led by her brother Bjorn. They are Etahoro's cubs from his first Ketep wife, generations before. They reunite with their father, and begin to help out. Bjorn takes over Haakon's position of being their father's right hand, making the younger brother feel a bit rejected. Haakon spends the time after the siblings arrived with Kelda, getting to know her and helping her out.
No one else arrives.
Year 5
Two years go by, and still no one else arrives. Etahoro spends many restless nights by the portal, anxiously awaiting for the Ket he was told would be led to this place. To his disappointment, not a soul comes through the portal that year...
Year 8
Another three years go by. Haakon, Jeliah, Kelda, and Bjorn can only watch as Etahoro's mood turns gloomy and he slips in and out of depression. The settlement is entirely built, and Haakon and Bjorn scout out areas for future settlements as well, even though they too begin to doubt anyone else will ever arrive.
Etahoro explores the land west of the lake. He discovers something terrible within the forest far in the west, something to this day, he will not speak of to anyone. He places warnings and spells around that part of the forest, and calls it the "Moae Forest". When asked what he found there, he will say, "Death, to any foolish enough to enter."
Still, no one arrives.
Year 9
Etahoro leaves the settlement one night, early in the summer, and heads north, without any of his family knowing. Now deep into a depressed state, he spends the rest of the year wandering by himself, leaving his worry sick family to wonder where he went and to search for him. Bjorn eventually decides on behalf of the family that they must simply give Etahoro time, and he will return home.
Etahoro's journeys take him as far north as the tundra, and beyond into the Ice Fields. He returns at the start of winter, and doesn't say much about what he did or where he went.
The family still remain the only Ket in Utur-Vyta.
Year 10
At long last, after a decade of waiting, new Ket come to Utur-Vyta. At first, it was a small family group of Ketep, two sisters and their mates and cubs. A month later, Ketio patrol that had gotten lost, numbering eight lions in total, most of them young, all unmarried or without families. Later, a Ketzateri male, old in his age, and after a lifetime of fighting for territory, prides, and prey, is ready for some peace in his life. By mid-year, there were over three dozen Ketep, forty Ketio, and 20 some Ketzateri in Utur-Vyta's settlement. For the most part, they all had come to live peacefully with one another, but tensions, even in this more harmonious Ket, were stirring.
Bjorn, Trout Jaw(the old Ketzateri male), and Nitmheturo(one of the older Ketio males), the undisputed, though unofficial, leaders of the settlement, came to an agreement. The three races needed a settlement to their own each. Bjorn showed Trout Jaw the highlands area, and the place he and Haakon had began building a settlement there. Trout Jaw agreed, noting that the highlands were where the Ketzateri were truly at home, and the place Theron had intended for them. He and the other Ketzateri move there. Bjorn then showed the grasslands to Nitmheturo, and the settlement there, and like with the Ketzateri, all the Ketio were in agreement that they would be better suited there than in the Etahor Forest. The three groups then worked out politics and government of the Ket. They all agreed that Etahoro was the true ruler of Utur-Vyta, and his word would be law to the new clans, but each clan could also govern themselves.
Etahoro accepted the separation of the Ket, and the new clans were formed. However, he knew he needed leaders in each of the clans he could trust would hold the peace. And so, for the first time, Etahoro left Utur-Vyta, going back to Terra Fera once more. When he returned, near the end of the year, he came back with Fractured Dream, called "Fracture" by most, and Talon Wing, the ex-god of the harvest and son of Etahoro's brother Magni. Fracture became the ruler of the Ketzateri, who had no quarrels with allowing Theron's adopted daughter to lead them. Talon became leader of the Ketio, who welcomed him as one of their own.
(From here out, I'll keep things short. Will add more events later.)
