As a Sage, it is your duty to not only assist the healers, but also defend your fellow Ket. This, the Sacred Grove, has been a training grounds for Utur-Vyta's Sages ever since the first generation of Ket Etahoro brought here. It is also a gathering place for the Sages of the different clans, and here, it is as if there is no clans.
-----------------------------------------
"Welcome!" a golden Ketep female greets you as you enter the grove. You recongize her as Etahoro's mate, Jeliah. Beside her sits Fracture, the Ketzateri's fierce matriarch.
"If you're looking for something do to, or to further your training as a Sage, I can point you in the right direction," Fracture smiles. Her smile isn't exactly a friendly one, but not cruel either. "Ketep can also go find Tah, Bjorn, or Haakon for some training in that spellcraft stuff they do. Liah here could help too, but last time she did that, she caught Talon's tail on fire... Those were some good times."
The two ladies laugh and talk about Talon Wing some more.
Only Sage Class characters can take quests/missions here!
Missions
(Here's a short guide to missions, if you need a reminder. Full guide on missions and quests can be found elsewhere!)
Each day your character can accept a mission from Jeliah or Fracture, or if you're a Ketep Sage, you can go to Etahoro, Bjorn, or Haakon (each have a different specialty) to learn about magic. Here's what each NPC specializes in:
Jeliah is a storyteller.
Fracture offers patrol missions.
Etahoro is a general magic teacher. He will offer practical, "safer" missions.
Bjorn specializes in battle magics. He offers training/missions with use of both defensive and offensive spells.
Haakon specializes in the art of illusions and shadows. He offers "risky" missions.
All NPCs offer herb/gathering missions.
You can only choose which NPC to take a missions from, not what type of mission.
It should be noted that not all of the NPCs will be found here every day. Here is their schedule:
Jeliah is here every day. This is her main job.
Fracture is here on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Etahoro is here everyday except the weekends.
Bjorn is here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Haakon is here when Bjorn isn't XD Sundays, Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
Types of Missions and Rewards
Storytelling is a job Jeliah will give you. She'll inform you that a group of cubs from one of the clans will be joining you for the day, and you must teach them about the history, religion, and lore of the Ket.
All you actually have to do is come up with a story, ERRA related or not, to tell the cubs. It must be one of your own making, and at least a paragraph in length.
-Rewards: You are rewarded tek based on length, and a roll that represents how amused the cubs were. You get 10 tek per paragraph. The roll is more or less a multiplier, and is rolled between 1 and 5 by a mod/admin. 1 means the cubs weren't very amused, and you'll gain no extra tek. 5 means they were quite amused and you'll get x5 the amount.
Herb/gathering missions are a job where the NPC will ask you to go fetch "x" of something. They'll pay you on how much of the item you get. You'll get two dice rolls to get at least the amount needed. If you're under the amount, the NPC will only pay you a little tek. If you reach the exact number, they'll give you the amount of tek promised. If you get more than enough, they'll pay you extra or even offer you a gift.
Patrolling missions will have you go off and check out an area. This is an RP mission, so you'll play it out with whatever staff member posted as the task giver. They will be using a random number generator to see what sort of text event will happen, from there you'll have at least two choices, and your choice will define what you get out of the mission. When its done, you'll be rewarded tek based on what happened. (Some encounters offer as little as 10 tek, while others offer as much as 500 tek.)
Magic missions work pretty much the same as patrolling. It is an RP mission where the NPC shows you how to do something, or asks you to do something, and then you'll be given a few options of how to attempt it yourself. Outcomes will vary.
