Map of Utur-Vyta
(To be added later!)
Regions of Utur-Vyta
Etahor Forest
This is the forest that greeted the newcomers to Utur-Vyta, and where Etahoro and most of the Ketep live.
Moae Forest
The "Dark Forest", as its also called, is a mysterious and unnerving place. Young Ket are warned to never stray near this place, as even seasoned warriors and navigators have gone missing here or have been found dead, their bodies torn apart and hardly recognizable. It seems something truly fierce is guarding this forest, and any who dare to enter are at its mercy.
Lezlossi
"Peace Plains", are the main home of the Ketio clan, and stretches from the northern edge of the forest around of Lake Tora, up until the cold tundra grasslands.
Gathering Fields
Although one could say it is a part of the Lezlossi, this small region of lush grasslands has been designated by the clans as neutral ground, where any and all can gather, make friends, and share knowledge across clan and racial borders. This is also where official meetings are held between the clans, but otherwise, all are welcome to visit this place at any time. There's little to no prey here, unless you count the innumerable rabbits that call this place home, thus giving the Gathering Fields no true value for any one clan or another.
Lake Tora
Named for the goddess of wind, the twin of the water goddess, this is the largest body of water known on Utur-Vyta. Many rivers and streams drain into this lake, and this is the lake at which Sorrow's End is found. The lake is mostly centered between the three Ket clans and is not far from the Gathering Fields.
Ice Fields
Though no one dares go so far north, a few early brave Ket journeyed to the northern edge of Utur-Vyta, and returned with tales of a land of endless ice. Tundra Ketio are the only Ket hardy enough to possibly make a home of this place, and prides of them have left the Ketio clan in hopes of finding their own life there in the far north. Its said the only prey here is seals, however.
Nur-Heturi
"Highlands", home of the Ketzateri clan, this vast region of rocky foothills, lush plateaus, and treacherous cliffs, sits between Lake Tora and the mountain range to the south.
Teli Village
A bit of a growing city now, this small region just north east of the Gathering Fields is home to the only humans, or rather humanoids, of Utur-Vyta. For the most part, the people here are Telia and other common Fae races, but there are also a few Vixxen, Shape-Shifters, and Wolflords. The "village" is primarily led by members of the order sworn to Utura, the Brotherhood.
The Warrior's Hall, built by the Wolflords and Fae, is a place where all are welcomed to come and train in the fighting ways.
The Herds
Nitm Deer
Nitm Deer, as they've been dubbed by the Ket of Utur-Vyta, spend their summers in the northern tundra, but come south to the grasslands in late autumn, as to avoid the frigid winter of the polar tundra.
Nitm Deer are very much like Earth's caribou, but about the size of elk(on Earth).
Elk
The elk of Utur-Vyta appear to be rather similar to Terra Fera's, and are about the size of Earth's moose. There are herds of elk scattered across Utur-Vyta, both in the forests and in the grasslands. Occasionally, a herd or two may find its way into the southern tundra and taiga regions.
Faol Rutli
Although called "Maned Deer", these creatures are actually antelope. They are quite hardy creatures, and seemed to have colonized nearly every part of Utur-Vyta. The highland variety are a favorite among Ketzateri for large game.
Firntia
Firntia are Utur-Vyta and Terra Fera's bison. They are roughly the same size and have the same appearance as Earth's bison, but are on the slightly larger end of the scale. Their stubborn and fierce attitudes, sharp horns, and powerful kicks can prove fatal for the inexperienced hunter, a welcomed challenge to more senior hunters, and even warriors might have a go at taking on one of these beasts. Like the Faol Rutli, they range in nearly every region of Utur-Vyta, having different sub species. The Nitm Firntia is the largest, and the most northern variety, ranging from the plains to the tundra. The Niat Firntia is the woodland variety, and mid-sized. The Highland Firntia is likely the most hardy variety, living on the highland plateaus.
